We did not have our ceremony at Rocky Neck, just the reception. The ceremony was outdoors at a private residence. It pored rain the whole day before, and I know there were weddings there all weekend, but we had a beautiful sunny day. It is New England, so you have to be ready for anything, and pray for sunshine. We though it was an awesome place to have the reception and I'm sure it would have been nice for a ceremony too. The Rocky Neck staff where helpful and friendly and we felt they really tried to make everything perfect for us. We did not hear any trains, but we were having so much fun...who could remember, or care for that matter? On of the nice aspects of the building is they have an out door area on the roof that you can use for cocktail hour and for people to get some air and enjoy the view during the reception. Our photog was a personal friend named Shannon Gill. She is not a "really" wedding photographer. We also absolutely LOVED our caterer , a Thyme to Cook, they were worth every penny, and really went the extra mile to make our vision come true! Our wedding party stayed at the Inn at Harbor Hill Marina and we loved it, the owners were very nice, and the view is beautiful. I've included some pics from the reception, hopefully they can give you an idea of what it's like.
