The site was gorgeous, but permits are required and you might have to be a town resident in order to access this part of the park.

American Yacht Club

One of the most beautiful settings on Long Island Sound.

Elm Street Oyster House

My favorite fun seafood place in town! I love the Shrimp Quesadilla. Very relaxed atmosphere here - great for a quick lunch.

Garden Catering

The best fried chicken ever! I used to get the "High School Special" which is basically a big bag of chicken fingers and fries. Make sure to ask for the "special seasoning"!

Thataway Cafe

Bar/Restaurant at the bottom of Greenwich Avenue has a large menu (mostly american and bar food) as well as an outdoor patio if the weather nice.

Greenwich Avenue

Greenwich Avenue is the shopping meccca in Greenwich and you'll be able to find anything from Gap to Saks Fifth Avenue.

Old Greenwich

Around the corner from the hotel, Sound Beach Avenue in Old Greenwich has a nice, small-town feel to it. There are a few places to eat and shop, and it's nice to walk around. You can walk through the commercial area and then go browse around the neighborhoods beyond - it's got side-walks throughout.

Bruce Museum and Playground

The Museum was recently renovated and often has great visiting collections. For kids, the playground (its big!)is right across the street.
