Airport:
Colorado Springs Airport
City of Colorado Springs Municipal Airport, US
"Small airport - 45 min. to an hour before departure should be plenty of time. Give 20-30 min. to get there from N. Woodmen/I-25. Fastest route is Woodmen to Powers."
Hiking:
Garden of the Gods
Garden of the Gods, Colorado Springs, COColorado Springs, CO, US
"Good for driving or hiking around, as well as taking awesome pictures! Famous for it's red rock formations."
Hiking:
Queen's Canyon/The Punch Bowls
"Find this hike by going past the Castle at the Glen. The trail follows and criss-crosses a creek through woods up a hill, winding up at the Punch Bowls. This is a fairly rugged hike - wear shoes that you don't mind walking through water in, and make sure you give yourself enough time to get up and back before dark. You'll have to sign a waiver at the Gatehouse and get a parking tag to hang in your car."
Hiking:
Ute Valley Park
1705 Vindicator Drive, Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States
"A great hike - not difficult and fairly short."
Entertainment:
Cinemark Theatre
"Whenever Anonymousand I go see a movie, this is usually where we go. Tons of restaurants and shopping in this area, too. We like to get a Chick-Fil-A milkshake after a movie since it's so close to the theatre."
Natural Attraction:
Pikes Peak Cog Railway
515 Ruxton AveManitou Springs, CO, United States
"Not only is Pike's Peak railway a scenic and fun way to get to the top of Pike's Peak (the biggest mountain in sight at 14,100 feet above sea level), it's also very close to both the Pike's Peak trail head, and the Manitou Springs Incline--a challenging trail that goes 2,000 feet straight up on old railway ties. The Incline is not for those who have just arrived in Colorado, and should not be traveled or without lots of water. If you take the railway, you'll be at the summit in about 2.5 hours."
Coffee :
Agia Sophia Coffee Shop
2902 W Colorado AveColorado Springs, CO, United States
"I think this is my favorite coffee shop in the Springs. It is actually in a house in Old Colorado City. Agia is owned by Christians and has shelves of books on religion, history, and philosophy. Great date/study place."
Coffee :
Pikes Perk Coffee & Tea House
14 S Tejon StColorado Springs, CO, United States
"My favorite coffee house downtown. I like it because it's upstairs is so comfy - coffee places should be required to have lots of couches."
