"Great place. Great Service, incredible food, everything was PERFECT!"
Hotel:
Hotel Gemma
Via Castiglione80074 Casamicciola Terme Na, Italy
"The best hotel we've ever been to. Just AMAZING!"
Restaurant:
Hostaria Da Lucianna E Gennaro
Via Cretaio, 64Casamicciola Terme, Campania, Italy
"A delightful place where you'll be able to taste some of the best sea and land dishes of the island!"
Restaurant:
ristorante pizzeria Barracuda
via Campagnano, 62ischia, NA, Italy
"A great place to eat some pizza with an awesome view!"
Harbour:
Beverello Harbour
Molo Beverello, 80133 Napoli Napoli, Italy
"This is the harbour where the boats for Ischia leaves from. There is 2 different types of boats: One that takes 40 minutes and costs around 15 euro per person, and one that takes 90 minutes and costs around 8 euro per person. The second one is enjoyable, you get to see the coast of naples and you can tan on the deck. To get the slow boat you-ll have to ride on a small bus from Beverello harbour to Porto di Massa, it is free and it takes about 3 minutes."
Harbour:
Casamicciola's Harbour
"This is the harbour of the distric of Casamicciola Terme. If you choose this as a destination when you take the ship in Naples, to reach the hotel you can take any bus going toward Ischia Porto, so any bus going right if you are facing the sea, and get off at the "Bagnitiello" bus stop. We're right there at the corner, in front of the greengrocer!"
Harbour:
Ischia's Harbour
"This is the harbour of the district of Ischia Porto. Its one of the two destinations you can choose when you are in the harbour of Naples, and as you can see, the hotel is halfway between here and the harbour of Casamicciola. So really you can choose either one and then follow the main street toward the other one, and halfway you'll find the hotel! So here you can take the CS,1 or 2 Bus going toward casamicciola, and get off at the "Bagnitiello" bus stop, and we'll be right there around the corner. Obviously you can just take a taxi (they have 3 wheels and are usualy yellow..you really cant miss them!) and it'll cost you around 10-12 euro."
Beach:
San Montano beach & Negombo Thermal Park
"A beautiful beach in the district of Lacco Ameno, fine sand and clear water. Half of the beach is free, and the other half is occupied by the "Negombo" thermal park, where you can rent beach chairs and tanning beds, or a beach umbrella. If you want to enjoy the thermal park, you pay a fee for the day (or the afternoon only, if you want) and you can access all the swimming pools, the sauna and other facilities, or you can have any beauty treatment you can think of for another fee!"
Italian Music:
the "Riva Destra"
"This strip on the right side of the harbour is the right place to find some nice restaurant with some live neapolitan/italian music. Come here to enjoy some good fresh fish dishes and some italian folklore!"
Island:
Island of Capri
"This is the famous island of Capri. If you feel like having a day trip to a beautiful place, this is the right choice: a boat will take you here in the morning around 10, and you'll have until 5 in the afternoon to go around and visit. Ask more about this trip at the counter at the hotel!"
Island:
Island of Ischia
Ischia NAIschia, Campania, IT
"The green island, where our life togheter is gonna begin!"
Island:
Island of Procida
"Smaller than Ischia, more crowded than Ischia. A beautiful little island, worth visiting one morning or one afternoon. There is planned trips to come here, a boat that brings you here and takes you back after 4-5 hours, which are definetly enough to visit."
Point of interest:
Forio
"This is the little town of Forio. ITs the second biggest town on the island, and its great to enjoy during the afternoon or the evening. Here you can find good restaurants, really good gelato (See if you can find Roxy Bar, homemade gelato and tons of flavours!), and the charming church "del Soccorso", standing alone on a little rise, where you can experience one of the most romantic sunsets you'll ever see. Some good shopping and souvenirs are to be found here too. To get here from the Hotel, take any bus going left toward Forio, usually number 1,2 or CS."
Point of interest:
Lacco Ameno
"This is a little town of fishermen bulti right by the sea, where you can find a delightful shopping strip that hosts all kind of souvenir and typical italian shops, plus some really good gelato! At the end of the strip you'll find Saint Restituta's square, and if you keep going you'll end up at the San montano beach! To get here from the hotel, take any bus going left toward Casamicciola, Lacco Ameno or Forio, usually number 1,2 or CS. Don't forget to take a picture of the unique mushroom shaped rock that is the trademark of Lacco Ameno!"
Point of interest:
the "Aragonese" Castle in Ischia Ponte
"This place is called Ischia Ponte, and its an ancient village of fishermen that developed into a charming walk full of culture, shopping, pizza and gelato! If you walk all the way to the end, you'll enjoy the beautiful view of the bridge and the Aragonese Castle, Ischia's stronghold against the peril's of the past ages. Particularly suggested to go to at night, you can reach it by taking any bus from the Hotel that goes toward Ischia Porto, and then taking another bus at the main bus station. It usually spells "Ischia Ponte" on the front."
Point of interest:
the "Marina" of Casamicciola
"This is the Marina of Casamicciola, a great place for an evening walk and a little bit of shopping. Enjoy also one of the 3 famous "Calise" Coffe-bar/Pastry shop right on the main square and a couple of good Pizzeria's! To get here, you can take any bus going toward Casamicciola, usually number 1,2 and CS. A good option is to walk from the hotel following the seaside and then take the bus back, since its all downhill."
Point of interest:
Via Roma
Via RomaIschia, Campania, IT
"If you're looking for some shopping, Via Roma is one of your options, togheter with the strips in Forio and in Casamicciola. Via Roma is where the fanciest shops of the island are, and is also a nice place to walk. To get here, take any bus going from the hotel toward the harbour of Ischia Porto (where all the buses stop) and then from there walk toward the center of Ischia. You will reach a piazza with a big entrance guarded by soldiers and 2 of the best gelato places in Ischia. Via Roma starts right there on the left, and its for people walking only. Enjoy!"
