Founded in 1928, the San Diego International Airport is the 30th busiest airport in the country in terms of passengers and the busiest single-runway commercial service airport in the nation. It is located in central San Diego and is conveniently accessible to all parts of the county.

Amtrak operates an average of 70 intercity trains and over 100 commuter trains per day in California. Southern California's Pacific Surfliner makes 12 daily round trips from Los Angeles to San Diego, with part of the route travelling along the beautiful Pacific coastline.

Nestled in the heart of San Diego, Old Town has over 150 restaurants (including the best Mexican restaurants in San Diego), shops, and historical sites. Old Town is also the Birthplace of California.

Petco Park has been the home of the San Diego Padres since 2004. The park offers panoramic views of the Bay, the downtown skyline, Balboa Park and the mountains. There are 42,000 fixed seats in the stadium with an additional park area that can fit close to 500 people.

Situated in Balboa Park, the 100-acre Zoo is home to over 4,000 rare and endangered animals representing more than 800 species and subspecies. In addition to the animals, there are always on-going special exhibits and shows that make the Zoo a San Diego favorite.

Located on Mission Bay, Sea World is home to the world famous Shamu the Killer Whale. Among the many attractions are rides, shows and exhibitions.

The Wild Animal Park is an expansive wildlife sanctuary that is home to more than 3,500 animals representing more than 400 species. Its renowned botanical collection represents 3,500 species and 1.5 million specimens. Over half of the Park’s 1,800 acres have been set aside as protected native species habitat.
