"Best day ever! Our families are both from out of town, so we considered getting married up in the Bay Area, but since we're both in San Diego, it just made sense for us to stay local. Especially, since I had my heart set on getting married at the Mission Basilica de Alcala. We had a lot of people from out of town, and from what I've heard, all had a great time and used the wedding as an excuse to go to Sea World or the Zoo (or even Disneyland). Thankfully, there weren't any huge competing events in town, so that kept our hotel prices in the normal range. "
