Cheesecake Factory

Locate outside of Fashion Valley Mall on the north/east corner. It is very busy near dinner time.

El Agave Restaurant

Located in Old Town, this is a really nice place to eat especially if you are a fan of tequila - they have the largest selection. Reservations are recommended.

Indigo Grill

Located downtown in Little Italy, this is one of our favorite restaurants. It is two blocks from the Little Italy trolley stop. They also offer valet parking if driving your car. One of our favorite dishes is the butternut squash soup!

Kelly's Restaurant & Irish Pub

Within in walking distance of the Mission Valley Resort, Kelly's features steaks, prime rib, BBQ ribs, fresh seafood and chicken. Walk east (to the right) and Kelly's is located just under the freeway overpass.

Trellises Restaurant

Trellises is located in the Town and Country Resort on the other side of the freeway from the Mission Valley Resort.

Gaslamp District

In the heart of downtown San Diego, the Gaslamp District has cool shopping, dining, and entertainment. Take the trolley downtown.

Sea World

Sea World is open in July 2008 from 9am to 11pm. You can get there via public transportation - ask the concierge. Adult tickets: $59

Seaport Village

A great place to stroll outdoors with shops and restaurants right next to the bay. You can see Coronado Island with large ships and small boats sailing by. In the summer, you can get a water taxi over to Coronado Island. You can get there via Trolley: Take the Old Town trolley to the American Plaza (it is a nice 4 block walk south from here) or transfer to the southbound orange line trolley to the next stop: Seaport Village.

Fashion Valley Mall

Outdoor Shopping Mall with 200 stores including Macy's, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale's & J.C. Penney Hours: 10am - 9pm Mon - Sat and 11am - 7pm Sun. Restaurants: California Pizza Kitchen, Pizzeria Uno, P.F. CHang's, The Cheesecake Factory There is also an 18 screen Theatre. The Mission Valley Resort will shuttle to the mall.

Horton Plaza

Outside shopping mall in the heart of downtown. Take the trolley to the Civic Center stop on C Street between 2nd and 3rd Street. Walk 2 or 3 blocks south (across Broadway). The Gaslamp District is right next door.

Old Town Trolley Station

Transportation center with buses and the trolley. Take the trolley from all the way downtown or stop in little Italy for some great dining. Trolley fare to downtown is $2.00 or for $5.00 get an all day pass good on the trolley and most buses.
