Cute town on other side of SF. Lots of small shops, nice restaurants and galleries. GET HERE? Take BART to Embarcadero station, walk over to Ferry building and take the ferry. Or take cable car to fisherman's wharf and take the ferry.

Crazy Mall, 4+ floors with 3+ floor of Nostrand on top and a grocery store and food court on basement.
Twin Peaks
Great view of the city, probably need a car to get up there.
UC Berkeley
Hmeerrr!! I am smart! Big campus, and its Berkeley, different vibe! GET HERE? Take BART to Downtown Berkeley, 2 blocks walking.
Union Square Shops
Shops aglore! Macy, LV, BCBG, Victoria Secret, Banana Republic etc.. Cheesecake Factory on top floor of Macy's is a great place to eat but beware of long lines!

Cafe Claude
One of my favorite French restaurant. It is hidden in a alley but great cafe /bistro atmosphere, sometimes they have live jazz. Food is fantastic!
CheeseCake Factory
Top of Macy's at Union Square. Hugh Portions, great variety, LONG wait.
Mission Area Restaurant
This area has a great collection of ecletic food ranging from French crepes (ti couz) to Spanish Tapa (Ramblas) to Dive Bars (Blondies) to one of my favorite dive eatery - "best of mediterran", the list goes on, all within within 1 block. GET HERE? Take BART to 16th & Mission, 2 blocks walking.

Tons of place to eat from American to Sushi to Dim Sum, a bit pricy area b/c of view and tourist.
