We just had chairs set on the beach facing the ocean. We had about 90-100 guests so parking was ok, although we did recommend carpooling to the ceremony. It was easily accessible for most guests. We did have to assist several older guests to the ceremony site (and we did have one guest that was in a wheelchair that could not attend the ceremony). I don't know if this answers your questions.

Here are the directions that we sent with the invitations:


There is limited parking at Monastery Beach. We recommend carpooling.

From Monterey (to Monastery Beach):
Hwy 1 South Toward Big Sur
Monastery Beach will be on Hwy 1 just south of Ribera Rd

From Big Sur (to Monastery Beach):
Hwy 1 North toward Monterey
Monastery Beach will be on Hwy 1 just north of Point Lobos

From Monastery Beach to Rancho Canada:
North on Hwy 1
Right on Carmel Valley Road
Right at 4860 Carmel Valley Road (Rancho Canada Golf Course)
Reception is in the Merienda Room


I hope this helps. I posted some pictures but I don't really have any of the ceremony setup. There is a picture of us with the officiant. The wedding party stood to the sides of us. The picture is the view that our guests had. There were just 8 rows of chairs, i think 6 per side, that faced the ocean. We set up near a walkway between the driveway entrance at the hwy and the bathrooms.
