"The wedding was in White Rock, but I live in Vancouver, so most of the vendors are in Vancouver."

Vendors

Florists

Cambie Flowers
5570 Cambie Street
Vancouver, BC, Canada

Cambie Street, Vancouver. Very experienced and friendly; let me come a few times to pick the correct colours. (gave me flower for my hair free)

Wedding Fashion

Bliss Bridal
710 Columbia Street
New Westminster, BC, Canada

Columbia Street, New Westminster. Second-hand wedding dresses. Pay half for deposit when you pick, they will dry clean it, and you pay the other half when you pick it up. They offered to steam the wrinkles out the week before the wedding for free (although it was too far for me to take that offer). I found the cutest corset-style one that I didn't have to get altered at all!

Cakes/Candies

La Patisserie
8278 Granville Street
Vancouver, BC, Canada

Granville Street, Vancouver. Pick any of their flavours to make a wedding cake out of. We picked chocolate mousse (and saved money by getting a 'birthday cake', which is not as tall).

Invitations

Letterfu
White Rock, BC, Canada

It's not really a vendor... but my handmade-low-cost invitations were basically this fold. No envelope needed! Just get fancy paper.

Bands/Live Entertainment

Confetti Party Supply Tent & Rentals
3033 King George Highway
Surrey, BC, Canada

King George Highway, White Rock (Surrey). Everything from cake servers, water boiler/dispensers to helium tanks, tents, tables, chairs, chair covers. Even a wooden "dance floor"!

Honeymoon

A Snug Harbour Inn B&B
460 Marine Drive
Ucluelet, BC, Canada

Very nice bed and breakfast in quiet Ucluelet (Vancouver Island, on the Pacific coast). Very private and geared toward couples. They have winter "Storm Watch" rates which can be half the summer rates.

Reception

Peace Arch Provincial Park

We rented the "Picnic Shelter" on the Canadian side. It is only $200 for the whole day, and includes a fully equipped kitchen, hall with chairs and tables for around 150, one huge barbecue pit and a fireplace. (The public can still use the other huge barbecue pit and picnic tables around the site.) Book it well in advance for summer weekends, since many people use it for anniversaries, club parties, or just barbecues. Call the manager ("Contact Information") to book. BC Government's site: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/bcparks/explore/parkpgs/peacarch.html Peacearchparg.org has information for both US and Canada halves of the park: http://www.peacearchpark.org/peacearch.htm
