"The Colony has the most beautiful location overlooking the rocky coast. With the heated pool, private beach access, and relatively reasonable hotel rates so our friends and family could stay there, it made a great location for a mini destination wedding. However, many of the rooms are in desperate need of a renovations. Also, because they are a historic hotel, they have a 9pm noise curfew, so be prepared for an early reception. But we just rented the in-town trolley after the reception to take us to Federal Jacks. We also had a lot of odd dealings with the sales team - they told us they wouldn't be there the weekend we were visiting, but it turned out they were not only there, but they were having a wedding tasting with all the local wedding vendors. They also made several mistakes misquoting room rates and on a few other details. And the dinner menu was pretty basic without many options, but what they did have was good for wedding food. Still, you can't beat the setting. I would just make sure you get everything in writing."
