Hi. We really loved the St Cloud Country Club. I don't have my wedding pictures yet, it will be another week or two before I have the disk, then I can send you some pictures. We booked it about a year before our wedding. we looked at one other place (Wapicada Golf Club in Sauk Rapids) but after seeing the St Cloud Club House, we didn't want to look anywhere else. It kinda has an octagon shape to it, and is mostly windows that look out onto the course and the river, so you don't have to decorate much. There is an outdoor deck off the dance floor, and a lounge. We paid a $750 deposit for our reception, and that went to the dinner costs, there isn't a charge for the room.
The contact person for wedding receptions is the general manager, Rollie Carlson, and he was very nice to work with. The Country Club has their own chef, so the food isn't catered in, and it was excellent. They give you a free tasting of the different options you are considering for your dinner. They also have different linen colors to choose from, and they have the round mirrors and oil candles that they will put out on the tables for you if you choose (we had them do that, so it saved a lot on decorating costs). Besides the deposit, the bill was settled the night of our wedding, my parents paid for the dinner and appetizers and my husband's parents paid for the bar tab. I planned our wedding on my own, just with a little help from my husband. All of our parents live far away, I didn't have money for a wedding planner, and I thought the country club was easy to work with, and everything went smoothly. Thank you sooooo much for getting back to me! I am glad to hear that everything went great with your wedding. I bet you are excited to get the pictures! Your information was extremely helpful. My fiancee is active duty military and we are currently living in Texas and trying to plan a wedding in MN so that is a bit difficult. After all of my research St. Cloud Country Club is the only place still available for our date (July 17, 2010). I am headed up there next week to check it out, but I don't have much time to decide as I am afraid someone else will book it if I don't. I just had a couple more questions if you don't mind.
1. How many guests did you have?
2. Is the dance floor visible to eveyone seated (so we can have a first dance etc. while people are still finishing dinner)?

Again I do appreciate all of your help and am open to any advice you might have as well.

Response from the couple:
For our wedding party flowers we had 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bride bouquet, 8 boutonnieres for groomsmen, ushers and dads, 1 groom's boutonniere 3 corsages for moms and a personal attendant. We also got flowers for our cake, a tossing bouquet, and 16 silk gerber daisies for table decor. Our total including delivery was just over $200. My bouquet had 9 gerber daisies and 6 roses and sweet pea. The bridesmaids had 3 gerber daisies in their bouquets. The guys boutonnieres were single roses. The mom and personal attendant corsages were 3 mini gerber daisies. Hopefully this was helpful, I will try to post pictures.

Thanks so much for your response. It was super helpful. I am getting married on September 26th of this year and am having a hard time with my current florist. I made an appointment with Northside Floral after reading your post. It's short notice to the wedding but they said that they can help me! I'll meet with them next weekend.
