Hi, sorry I almost missed this. Hmm, lets see. Well about the drinks, we just had wine, beer kegs, and some sweet things that were just out DIY to add to coffee or cocoa like baileys, creme de menthe, etc. No hard liquor. We did have a bartender pouring the wine and beer, and also had a couple bottles of wine on each table as well. It was a local woman who was a friend of a relative and very low cost. We bought the wine from a large discount liquor store with an additional discount from a friend who worked there and drove it all from Chicago where we live.
As far as the pavillion, it all went smoothly. We got access two days before which made things way easier in terms of set up. I can't think of anything that didn't go well in terms of the venue...but we did nearly everything ourselves and didn't work with any outside vendors aside from the one bartender woman and getting specialty pizzas delivered. I know this may sound weird but if you want to friend me on facebook just to see my wedding album (it's buried by a million albums of our daughter but it's there) you could see how we had it set up. Then feel free to get out of there as I imagine you don't care to see daily pics of my toddler:) My name is Brienne Davis Lowry on there...anyway feel free to ask anything more specific...

I do remember that it was too cold at first when guests arrived at the reception, I think someone needed to turn up the heat earlier. I don't know if you are crazy and having your wedding in the winter though.

Lets see, the number who actually were there (our families all had to fly or drive at least 8 hours in the snow from Eastern Michigan or Southern Illinois to attend so only about half of those invited came) was I believe just under 100 including wedding party and all. We did rent the lower area but didn't use it for much if I recall, I think we had Marc's cousins take people's coats and hang them downstairs. Oh, and the wedding party went down there and hung out while photos were being taken outside and then we made our entrance by coming up the stairs. It was so inexpensive to rent compared to most places that it seemed worth it to have the extra space just in case. The upstairs space seemed pretty big even after all of the set up...we didn't have a ton of people but we could have definitely fit a more tables if we had too...
