We were absolutely thrilled with our caterer, La Cocina, a restaurant based out of St. Augustine. Juan and Norberto were our contacts, and they provided a gourmet menu, were flexible on all menu items and prices, and the service was impeccable. We went with a filet and lobster tail dinner, served along side twice baked potatoes and a zucchini "basket." The plating and presentation of everything was just amazing! Our guests were so impressed with both the presentation and taste of the incredible food. We also had salad, breads, and a mojito sorbet intermezzo. We opted for our wedding cake for dessert, but they offered dessert as well. The appetizers we selected from their long list were brie puff pastries with pine nuts, crab cakes, smoked salmon on toast, and chicken/pineapple skewers. They held a tasting for us where we literally tried every appetizer on the menu. They set up the tables beautifully, rented us chargers and all of the glass and serving ware needed, and even created the menu cards for us at no cost. One less wedding chore to do! As for our photographer, LanierStar.com is the company we went with. The photographer is Kristen Morgan, a bubbly 30-something with a great personality and great eye. She is very familiar with the St. Augustine area and has a distinct style that we loved. I would definitely recommend looking at her website to see if you like her style. The packages include an engagement session, and while not cheap, it was definitely worth the money spent. We were very happy with our photos - memories for a lifetime, right?

I know you didn't ask, but I thought I'd throw in one more thing - since I probably sound like I loved everyone I worked with on my wedding day. Faythe Mesic of Glamour Bride was our hair and make-up person...was not in love with her. :-/ Just in case you were shopping for someone for that department. She's probably not it.
