Hi Pam,

Congrats on your daughters engagement.

I will tell you anything you need to know. You can even mention to him that you are concerned of a couple things that we have heard, be very honest w/ him and let him know your concerns.

Yes, Larry was our coordinator. Nate and I got engaged May 22, 2009 and we set our date for November 7, 2009, very short engagement. With our short relationship w/ MCC we had 3 different coordinators, their turn around was terrible at the time, hopefully things have changed. However it did work a little to our advantage because we were able to make deals, (little advice, never just accept their price, always negotiate, all they can say to you is no).

We had negotiated a premium shelf, 2 hr happy hour prior to dinner, draft miller lite and sprecher and wine for out guest for the whole night and premium shelf for our wedding party. We found out that guests where going to the bar asking for a miller lite and the bartender was giving them a bottle of miller lite and charging them. First of all, we had told most of our friends what was free so the smart ones would ask then for a draft miller lite, but for our guests that didn't know, they probably just paid for it, which we feel terrible. We wanted out guest to feel very honored and that's why we picked that package, to "show" them how much we really cared they came. Then to find out that some of our wedding party (moh) was paying for her drinks that night as well. I even went up to the bartender asked for a kettle one and soda and he said that he didn't have it. Well behind him was a btl of kettle one. I mean I was the bride, i paid for premium shelf, and he was going to lie to me to my face.

Then we purchased a cake w/ Aggies, we paid for 250 guests and had only 175 show up. So there should have been plenty of extra cake. Well one of our guests asked a server for a corner piece of cake and the waiter said they didn't have any. So the guy pulled out a $5 and said, please can you get my girlfriend a corner piece of cake, and the waiter took the $ and got her another piece of cake. I asked Larry what happened to all the extra pieces of cake and he never answered me.

Now all these issues came up w/ the people that we working for the MCC, however when I told Larry he didn't offer me anything. He apologized and said he would direct these concerns to the appropriate people. I do have to say the room looked outstanding, perfect and I know that w/ any place you chose from you will have issues, but honestly if you decide to chose mcc, i would just call him out on these issues and make him aware that you know.
