GALESBURG WEDDING IN SEPTEMBER

"We got married outside at a private residence. It rained. It didnt ruin the wedding, we still had it outside, but at the end of the ceremony we got wet, and guests were not able to hear the ceremony towards the end do to the rain. However, besides that, everything went pretty well. We really like the reception venue, our photographer was amazing and really captured the day beautifully, despite the rain. (you cant even tell it's raining in the photos!) The only thing I would've changed was I would've set up the canopy so we didn't get wet, and I would've chose a different DJ, or perhaps just talked to him more or met him before to go over everything. We live in WI and got married in IL, so it was a little challenging. All in all, we made good choices, especially with our photographer and I highly recommend her. "I wasnt crazy about this vendor. They didnt really follow my do not play, and must play lists. Actually I think the first song they played was off my do not play list. However, they did do their best to get the guests involved and on the dance floor. They are accommodating and nice people, they just messed up my lists. The sound was good, and the light show was good."

"Everyone here was really nice. The room was a great size, with a bar window so you didnt have to leave to get drinks. The room was actually free as long as you met a $500 total bill (cash bar, all guests bought their own drinks and total was well over $500) We decided to not pay for any drinks, but kegs were available or open bar was available. We only had to remove our decorations, etc. and they did all the cleaning. It wasnt super fancy, just your basic hall, but once you add your decorations, it looked great. 6 foot tables and chairs are provided. The lighting was adjustable and good as well. For being on a budget, this is a basic room for a great cost! (FREE!!)"
