Hi! We had a great experience with them! We rented the Partycat, which is the same boat they use for Watersports. It's the double decker boat with the air conditioned cabin. We had the boat all to ourselves. The food and booze were really all that were included. The food was better than what we expected. We were a little nervous because we had also read some poor reviews on the regular dinner cruise, but it was actually really good! I guess they don't use the same chef? We had no complaints. We booked everything through Rich, who is the owner, and he was great with communication. Any time we had questions, he was more than happy to answer.
They have tables and linens and such on board, but they aren't the best quality. They also serve everything on paper plates, so we bought our own "fake" china to make it a little nicer and also rented real silverware. We rented our tables, chairs and linens. We personalized 16oz plastic mugs as our favors. Otherwise, they served the beer and mixed drinks in plastic cups. As far as cake goes, you are on your own for that. We used Amazing Cakes and Creations. They were half the price of all of the bakeries down there and the cake was delicious! They did exactly what we asked. Another pleasant surprise to us since we couldn't find ANY reviews on them.
We also used their DJ. They charged a flat rate of $200 for the night. We were REALLY nervous about this because of the price. But he turned out to be great! We gave a list of our important songs along with a list of music we like and he played everything on the list and then some. We were very very pleased with the DJ. He had our guests on the dancefloor all night. The only thing to be careful of with this is they have a few DJ's that work there, so you won't know who you are getting until a few days before. We never even met our DJ until the actual reception, and we never got his name. I am sure I can call and ask if you want to know.
We ended up hiring their "day of" planner, Peggy Russell. She was a little unorganized in the beginning, so I was nervous, but by the time the wedding rolled around, we were very happy that we hired her. If you don't hire a planner, then be prepared to set up and decorate the boat yourself! That was reason enough for us!
We really had no complaints about the boat, their staff, nor the experience. If we had to do it all over again, we would do it the exact same way! If you have any other questions about anything, please let me know! Congrats & best wishes! Megan and Sean
