GAYLE AND ADAM'S WEDDING

October, 2009 in Philadelphia

"We had a wonderful, small wedding with close family and friends in October 2009. A great time of year in Philadelphia, and we were very lucky to have some stellar vendors as part of our team."

Ceremony: Cathedral of S.S. Peter & Paul
Reception: Table 31 Restaurant

Band:

KAW Entertaiment, LLC - Band - Phoenixville, PA, 19460, USA

KAW Entertainment

Phoenixville, PA 19460, USA

"My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with the work Karen Wilhelm and her band did at our reception. The music was perfectly appropriate for the size of our room and more importantly for our guests. Karen also served as our MC and made the night run smoothly. The entire group were professional and curteous and it was an absolute treat to have them part of our day. I can't recommend this jazz quartet highly enough!"

Ceremony:

Cathedral of S.S. Peter & Paul

N 18th St & Benjamin Franklin Pkwy
Philadelphia, PA 19103

"My husband and I gave 5 stars to this venue because it's our parish church. This is an amazing, historic space and of course the cathedral church of the archdiocese of Philadelphia. My husband's parents were married here so it held special significance for us. There is ample parking in the church lot and the location is ideal for photos around town. The down side is the high fee the church charges to use the space, and there are many rules - no receiving line, no bubbles, bird seed, runner down the aisle, etc. We understand the need for this though since they can have up to 4 weddings in a day. Please note that there is a long term construction/painting job going on at this church - so if you are booking a date try to find out when scaffolding will go up on the inside."

Reception:

Table 31 Restaurant

1701 John F Kennedy Blvd
Philadelphia, PA 19103-2833

"We loved our reception at Table 31. The food is excellent and you get a lot of dedicated waiters covering your event. You have to provide a guest list in advance so your guests can enter through security (the event space is on the 3rd Floor of the Comcast building). Brittany and the staff are very accomodating and were very helpful during the planning process. A++ to Kat the pastry chef and her amazing cakes!! She even went as far as going shopping on her own for flowers for the cake on the day of my wedding since she was not happy with the quality of what was delivered for her use by my florist!! I highly recommend this venue for a reception - but suggest if you do use this venue to have very clear notes written out about room layout and table decor. We did not have a coordinator on the day of, and a few very minor details were forgotten (this didn't event the expereince in any way), but very particular brides who want something set up in a specific manner should provide drawings or specific, clear instructions for the staff. Overall, a great reception venue and I would book there again!"

Hotel:

Embassy Suites Hotel

"We chose the Embassy Suites Center City because of their location to our wedding ceremony. The rooms are a wonderful size for bridal parties. I was frustrated that the front desk staff gave my florist a hard time - they said they couldn't find my name in the system, ending up calling a wrong number to try to find where I was. Other than that problem my guests had a great time at this hotel."
