October, 2010 in Vidalia"We had a wonderful 10/10/10 wedding! The weather in Vidalia, LA in October was perfect. We had a warm, sunny day. Vidalia has recently built a brand new gazebo and it was finished the day before our wedding. We had already made plans for an indoor ceremony, but for future brides, it would be a perfect location on the Mississippi river. The Vidalia Conference and Convention Center, where we held our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, is right next door. The staff was great to work with! The kitchen was one any caterer would love to work in. We can't say enough great things about our venue."

"Best kept secret! This grocery store has one of the best floral departments I've ever seen in a grocery! Order early. I decided to do some DIY arrangements and since I'm not from the area, I was not aware of this vendor until I happened upon the store looking for some fresh stems to put some small arrangements together. I noticed a bride had ordered several nice sized bouquets of long stem calla lillies, with approximately six to eight callas per bouquet for $6 per bunch! I almost fainted in the store. This is very reasonable. Wish I knew about this one before our wedding. The callas were of nice quality and worth the 1 hour drive to Alexandria."

Vidalia, LA"The Comfort Suites, Vidalia, LA riverfront was a fantastic property! We utilized the hotel's balcony suite as my bridal suite and stayed there the night of the wedding before leaving for our honeymoon. The breakfast was fantastic, the hotel was clean as well as comfortable, and the view of the Mississippi was wonderful. It was great to be able to sit on the balcony after returning from the excitement of our wedding, to reconnect and have a quiet cocktail together on the balcony."
