Customer service was very patchy, the 'shoemaker' himself was wonderful, but the girl in the showroom didn't seem to want to be there at all. "This venue has family relevance to me, so it was great that they had recently renovated their hall area. Disappointingly they had an art exhibition on the walls at the time of our wedding, but we were warned that that may happen. It didn't end up mattering in the end, no-one was looking at the walls, they were all looking at us!"

Reception:

"I loved the Centre Ivanhoe from before I was even engaged, so we were never going to have our reception anywhere else. The art deco styling was perfect for our wedding. We went for a trial of the menu before the day, but unfortunately OUR menu was no longer being trialed. We should have trialed it when we booked, not just before the wedding when we chose our items. We live and learn :). As it was we were able to see what the style and quality of food were like even if it wasn't what we were going to be eating. Overall the staff were really good, although my co-ordinator went OS midway through the planning process which was disappointing as I didn't hit it off with the next one as well."
