I had an excellent experience with the staff at the Chateau. The manager was very considerate and allowed for much flexiblity (i.e. I was able to decorate in advance, bring in various vendors, etc). The space itself is great - I was adament about having a center dancefloor, and everything I really wanted I got. The pricing is great for what is provided. Most of my guests thought the place was beautiful and thought the food was good. I had the large hall and meant to post pics of the place. Due to costs, we had basic things (i.e. no linens or colored napkins even), but it was great. The only thing looking back - There were supposed to be lights on the two head tables (we had a large bridal party) but the lower table was not lit at all (you can tell in the pics and video). I should have asked more, since the manager had told me the day before that they would both be working. One the day of, it just wasted that important. More than happy to discuss further. Thank you so much for your response! Just a few more questions - was Felicia the manager you are referring to because she is who we were in contact with and I was curious to see if she was who you worked with as well. One of the negative reviews online said they had changed management recently. Did you have the family style meal and was the service good? Also, Felicia had told us that the price locks in when we reserve the room, and I was wondering if you had any issues with this. Also, was there any other event going on at The Chateau when you had your wedding reception and when you said you were able to come in in advance to decorate do you mean the night before? It's nice to hear that you had a positive experience at The Chateau - they did seem reasonably priced. Sorry for all of these questions... but thanks for your help!!!

Hi,

We had worked with Eric, whose title was special events manager. I was informed they had recently changed mangement, but I don't recall if it was to Eric's team, or if this may had occured just after our wedding. We had the family style meal, and Eric advised on this since it appears more elegant than a buffet style and would not have been any cheaper. With pricing, I don't recall any issue with the price locking, although we were certain of the meal/bar package at the time of deposit/booking. We had a good amount of children present and were able to have a kid's menu option which was great (especially as they don't drink). Since it was February, there may have been more flexibility. There was supposed to have been a party of some type the same day (Valentine's evening)- We lucked out, and they hadn't paid. We were able to access the room the day before to decorate, but that was only because there was no event the day before. Sometimes, there are Friday events or double events. There are two nice entry ways to keep the rooms separate, but the bathrooms are only on the large hall side. We certainly were happy to get in to decorate, since our decor came from Mexico and had to be assembled! I (the bride) also created the candy buffet that is on display. Some of that was not pulled together until the day of the event. But overall, it was a nice experience..there was plenty of room, and our estimated 280 guests did not all show, so it actually looked emptier than we would have liked, even with a photo booth and the sweets table. Let me know if there are any other questions!

BTW - I've been dying to do another candy buffet for an event and if interested, I would be happy to assist in making another wedding day as sweet as mine!
