"The downtown area, also known as "The Golden Triangle", is defined by the three rivers that border it: the Mononogahela flows from the southeast, the Allegheny flows from the northeast, and they converge at "The Point" to form the Ohio River. There are many fine hotels, restaraunts and cultural attractions downtown, including the theater district and the convention center. Or maybe just take a walk down to the fountain at Point State Park where the three rivers meet. (For history buffs, the Fort Pitt Museum there is related to Pittsburgh's pre-revolutionary history as a strategic fort.)"
