Caterer:

Chef Marisoll

San Juan,, PR

"Marisoll was AMAZING to work with. She was very responsive by email (and in English) in the months and weeks leading up to the event. She event sent emails and called to check up on me! She tailored a menu to my needs and budget, and provided delicious food for my mixed american/puerto rican guest list. Her staff was incredibly responsive during the event and seemed to know exactly what to do without being asked. I would hire her again in a second."

DJ:

KMF Group

San Juan
, PR

"Carlos did a great job DJing at my wedding. He was very responsive in the months leading up to the event and I was pleased with the way he got the crowd dancing during the reception. My only gripe was that he didn't take charge MC'ing the event like I had asked, but regardless, the event turned out well."

Florist:

Caribe Wholesale Florist

San Juan,, Puerto Rico

"I ordered my flowers wholesale and had my family put them together. Omar was very knowledgeable about the different kinds of flowers available and talked me through the options via phone. By arranging the flowers ourselves, we were able to keep costs down."

Invitations Vendor:

Zazzle

Manhattan, KS, USA

"Good product and speedy, but the color of the printing we ordered was a little off."

Photographer:

Raquel Torres Arzola

P.O.Box 4162
Vega Baja, PR 00694

"Raquel was a delight to work with. She always seemed to be right in the middle of the action, and was flexible enough to bring one extra assistant to take pictures of guests during the cocktail hour at no extra cost to me. The pictures were spectacular and captured the mood of the evening. I could not be happier with my photos."

Wedding Fashion Vendor:

Isadora's

221 Northwest 2nd St
Corvallis, OR

"I ordered a silk charmeuese vintage reproduction dress from Isadora's via Jody of Camelia Collection, who sells Isadora's dresses from her store in Corvalis, OR. When planning my wedding, I was living in Brooklyn, NY and despite access to NYC dress boutiques, I couldn't find the dress I wanted for a reasonable price. I found Jody online (http://camelliacollection.blogspot.com/) and she sent me a sample gown to try on in my home. I fell in love with it and was able to have Isadora's tailor make the gown to my measurements. It arrived in two weeks and was perfectly fit to me, no alterations needed and for 1/5 the cost of the New York dresses I was looking at! I got so many complements on it and couldn't have been happier with the my mail-order dress shopping experience!"

Ceremony & Reception Venue:

Casa de Espana

Ave. Ponce de Leon
San Juan, PR

"Casa de Espana was a beautiful venue for my wedding and reception. They let me bring in all of my own vendors (including alcohol), which saved lots of money in the long run. The staff of the facility, however, left something to be desired. The coordinator only spoke spanish (so m husband had to do the negotiating), the mucama sat outside the bathroom all night doing nothing, and the bartenders closed the bar when there was plenty of alcohol and thirsty guests! If you decide to hold your event here, and there are certainly plusses to doing so, make sure to designate someone (coordiator, etc) to stay on top of Casa's unenthused staff."

Hotel:

Caribe Hilton

Juncos,, PR

"All of our out of town guests stayed here, and it was an ideal place. The grounds were beautiful, and we enjoyed both the proximity to Condado and Old San Juan and the many activities that my guests could enjoy on site. I was able to negotiate a good rate from hotelplanner.com, but food and drinks on site were very expensive - but my guests seemed happy to pay for the experience!"
