CHARLOTTE WEDDING IN JUNE

June, 2011 in Charlotte

"Our wedding was AMAZING!! It truly was the perfect day. 95% of our guests traveled to our wedding so we wanted to make eveyrthing easy for them (aka no driving, have everything in within walking distace, etc.) We used both Marriott hotels uptown, and had our church and reception site directly across the street from oneanother. Charlotte has so much to offer as far as a downtown, so if you're doing a downtown wedding make sure you make it as easy for your guests as possible. The map we had made through weddingmapper made our guests feel extremely comfortable with getting around downtown! I sent them a map with their invitations as well as in the gift bags at the hotel for the wedding weekend."

"Our DJ's were fantastic and we also hired a 'Billy Joel' piano player for our cocktail hour. They all made our wedding so entertaining, beautiful, and a massive amount of FUN!"

Ceremony:

St Peter's Catholic Church

507 South Tryon Street
Charlotte, NC, United States

"It's hard to 'review' our church, we love it there, but still ... Our ceremony was beautiful, the music was unbelieveable, and our priest made our marriage ceremony so meaningful. They are rather strict about the photographer and videographers - just be upfront about what you want and see how they'll work with you. They make you hire a wedding coordinator ($200) but its understandable bc the church needs someone who a) knows how to run a wedding there b) they need someone who will have the church's best interest. Overall, we were vey happy w/ everyone."

Reception:

Mint Museum UPTOWN

500 South Tryon St.
Charlotte, North Carolina 28202, US

"The Mint Museum Uptown made a FABULOUS venue - cocktail hour was in the 1st floor atrium and the reception/dinner was upstairs in the 5th floor ballroom. The many windows and balconies made it so welcoming bc our guests got great views of downtown Charlotte. They accommodated to every need we had, and were fabulous in making our guests comfortable and helping the arrival and departure of our guests 'flow' very well. Would go there again in a heartbeat!"

Hotel:

Charlotte Marriott City Center

100 West Trade Street
Charlotte, NC, United States

"The Marriott was FANTASTIC! They were overly accommodating to me as the bride, both our families, and guests. They helped us find everything we needed downtown for our guests (salons, dry cleaners, etc.) The bellmen were amazingly helpful and ALWAYS there when we needed them!! Plus, their location is in the heart of Charlotte, our guests could walk everywhere and were only a few blocks away from our church & reception venue, as well as the Epicentre. **Please note there are 2 Marriotts downtown: the regular Marriott (100 West Trade Street) and the Couryard Marriott (237 South Tryon Street)- be careful if you use both!!"

"The Courtyard Marriott is a great hotel with a perfect location. For us, our guests that stayed here were only 1 block from our church & reception venue.
