The atmosphere is urban, the staff knows all the answers to your food and drink questions and the view of downtown is breathtaking. Besides the seminary library, it's the closest building to a skyscraper you'll get in Holland. Lars' would definitely recommend the 'Flatbreads' section of the menu. On the day Lars proposed, we enjoyed a yummy dinner here followed by amazing pecan pie and to-die-for vanilla bean ice cream."

"Stop by JP's after the reception for some coffee or other hot drink at this local coffeehouse. Lars and Christine enjoyed several dates here as high school seniors and beyond, talking and playing Scrabble. Lars usually ordered a dependable hot chocolate while Christine sipped on a variety of hot herbal teas. Way better than Starbucks!"

"It may be chilly when you get here, but Holland's slice of the lakeshore is a gorgeous sight of Lake Michigan beach anytime of year. If you venture out, make sure you catch sight of Big Red. Lars and Christine had their prom pictures taken in front of it with several other friends. Come back to vacation here in the summer!"

"Beautiful and fun, but there was a mess-up with our late check-out on the DAY of the wedding (bride & bridesmaids spent the night before the wedding here for easy access to the beauty/ceremony/reception venues). Had specified late check-out with the staff at multiple times when making and confirming the reservation. On the day of the wedding, front desk staff tried to force us out of the room- while we were getting ready for the big day. It was eventually resolved with the manager, but had already added lots more stress to the day. However, we (bride & groom) stayed here on the wedding night and enjoyed the great service and amazing room. In their defense, there was a big event going on downtown that probably increased the need for rooms, but we had already been promised a late check-out."
