Question:
Hello! I was so thrilled about coming across your wedding. It was gorgeous! My fiance really wants a wedding at the beach down there. We've been back and forth between beach and mountains, can't seem to make up our minds, ha!

Anyway, he wants to rent out the Hancock Lodge for our reception and I hadn't been too sure about it. I was wondering if you would care to share more pictures of your reception there and/or to share information on the pros and cons of it. Did you have to rent your own round tables and linens? Were chairs provided or is that something you had to rent out as well? We want to hire a DJ, is there adequate space for that? Did you utilize the outside deck/gazebo area as well?

I am planning on taking a trip down that way at the end of this month to check out our different options (my fiance is stationed there in NC and I am in the Northern VA/DC area). I'm so nervous about a venue where we will have to bring in our own caterer, dj, possibly even rent our own tables and chairs etc. All inclusive seems so much easier, but he says the lodge is beautiful! I can't wait to go see it but would love to hear from you since you have already btdt and had your reception.

Also, we were wondering what we would do for a rehearsal dinner. How was the cost of the Diamond City Cruise boat? He and I are having to pay for this all on our own, no help offered so far from our family, so that's something we have to keep in mind.
