NINA AND SAMUEL'S WEDDING
October, 2007 in Virginia Beach"Two syllables: Per-fect. Weather was amazing, the beach was beautiful, the groom showed up, and the food was to-die-for with impeccable service."

"You must be active duty military or have an active duty sponsor to use this spot on Ft Story. Amazing, but of course there are a lot of militant rules to follow. It worked out perfect for us. Just make sure you tell your Ft Story coordinator to stay out of the way of pictures: provide clear instruction on that. In fact, just have your photographer talk to them. $200 fee--totally worth the nominal fee. (We found out in the middle of planning that the fee may have been for the wedding coordinator's service, which was actually more annoying with anything. If you can read 2 pages of rules and follow directions precisely, see if you can get out of paying for her.)"

St Therese's Chapel
"No common amenities, but sooooo cute and sentimental. Quaint, I guess you could call it. The oldest church in the whole area! I didn't actually get married here though-it was my back up in case of bad weather. Seats only 50 (if you're a.) lucky or b.) a family of anorexics. No center aisle--bride would have to walk around one side of the guests. You must be active duty military or have an active duty sponsor to use this spot on Ft Story. "AMAZING FOOD!! Even if you're not getting married, please visit the Vintage Kitchen! Tell them your a friend of Sam and Nina!! The staff there is the greatest. As the bride, I got up repeatedly during the meal to talk to some of the guests. Every time I turned around to go back to my meal, my napkin was already re-folded. I couldn't believe they just kept doing it! The setting is gorgeous also. Don't miss it!"

"It's very nice for the price! It was a bit difficult to coordinate our group rate. Make sure you call at least 2 months in advance. I'd shoot for 3."
