Freed's Bakery of Las Vegas

"Freed's Bakery had won "Best of Las Vegas" for wedding cakes quite a few years in a row, so we just had to try them. They've long been in the business of wedding cakes, so we were not surprised to see that they were super professional; it was the only bakery I've ever been in where you walk in and on one side was a normal looking bakery, with cookies and cakes on display, and on the other side, 3 business tables, each equipped with a consultant, to accomadate up to 3 personal wedding cakes consulatations at a time. They really knew what they were doing-- they knew details to ask us about that we really had no clue about, and they even had a standardized sample plate, with a taste of all the main frostings, icings, and cake flavors that you could ask for, a huge book of cake designs that you could look through (also available online), and even ribbons of different colors to tape to your purchase order so that the bakers could match your wedding color to your cake perfectly. When the day arrived, the cake arrived on time and was BEAUTIFUL!!! When it came time to eat it, our guests gave it rave reviews even though they were full on all our other food. The only place where I would grade it down was price; it was fairly expensive ($10/slice) even though our cake was pretty standard. But it's was worth it for such professional service and to prevent any mishaps on our wedding day. I highly recommend."

"oey Allen was a pleasure to work with. My husband did the wedding photographer search, and he couldn't find anyone-even Vegas photographers that were far more expensive-- with a better portfolio. From the moment we contacted him, he was very dependable and thorough. He told us he would give us a 6 hour shoot, a DVD with all the photos, and all the rights to those photos for a very competitive (under 1000) price, and still he went above and beyond with coming early, staying late, and even visiting the site for the formal portraits with us befor the wedding day. He was professional and qualified-- He seems that he does wedding photography because he enjoys wedding photography, not just as a "day job" in order to fund some other less lucrative photographic hobby. He didn't miss a beat, and was able to make not only the shots on our list, but also all the shots I forgot to mention plus a ton of beautiful candids (with the help of an assistant). Even while he got a lot of standard shots, he also got a lot of artistic ones. I highly recommend him, and we consider ourselves lucky that he was available for us. Thanks Joey!"

Community Lutheran Church

3720 E Tropicana Ave
Las Vegas, NV 89121

"This was a great place for our wedding. Even though the chapel at this church was much plainer than its cousins on the Strip, it kept sanctity in the ceremony and made our 50 guests feel cozy inside. The wedding coordinators for the church were very organized and super helpful in all the details; and though we were only promised that one of them would be there, they both were. Also, unlike most churches, Community Lutheran has fewer religious regulations than other churches. Although they required us to have one of their pastors on staff officiate, they permitted us to have a second pastor. I highly recommend Community Lutheran. They were a pleasure to work with."

"This was a great place to take pictures to give them a more realistic Nevada feel (instead of the ultra-fake Strip feel). Everyone at the factory cheered for us. We gave them a tip, but they didn't really ask for it. Warning, choose wisely the time of day that you're going to take portraits, because there's not a whole lot of shade."
