"They are actually an orchestra of musicians that they pull from in order to get you a 3-4-or5 piece band. They are amazingly talented and have a really good classical/Jazz selection. They are at least half the price of a traditional band but well worth it if you are trying to save some money and cant afford a band. The only negative is that because they aren't a "true" band, they dont play together all the time with the exact 5 people that may show up for you wedding. Also, because they aren't a "true" band, they dont really have a lit of songs that they typically play so if you're picky about wanting to know every single song they will play or give them a playlist, then this isnt for you. However, they were really sooooo great and they even have a singer you can request who sounds jsut like Frank Sinatra! Just let them play their own songs and you dont worry about anything else. Just expect good, solid, jazz musica for a night of dancing!"

Ceremony:

Ceremony on the Naval War College Lawn

"beatiful setting if you can guarantee great weather. Great views! Only problem here is if you want to have a back up venu in case of rain, typically you'd have to do it in the ballroom.....not the most ideal place. I took my chances and it was well worth it! Lastly, request that you walk along the sidewalk as you walk towards the aisle. I had to walk right through the center of the parking lot, which was quite unattractive, but once i got to the aisle, it was great."

Reception:

Reception at the Newport Officer's Club

"they are fabulous! they worked well with every single request that i had! the food was rgeat(what little i had time to eat) and i never even noticed the staff. I would do my wedding here again in a heart beat! Dont worry about the security gate issue, it didint take long for all the guests to get it and no one complained about it. Only downside, is Friday's they have Fish and Chips on teh deck with live music. I had my ceremony outside and there were other people around. not too crowded and the music wasnt loud (i couldnt even hear their music at all!) so it wasnt too much trouble, just something to consider if you have your wedding on a friday."

"you pay for what you get! A must have for the young out-of town guests who cant afford to stay in the heart of town. Not the nicest carpets, etc. but I would stay here if I were an out of town guest....just dont have really high expectations. with all the fun stuff to do in newport, your hotel is really only a place to sleep!"
