SANDY AND JOSEPH'S WEDDING

April, 2008 in New Smyrna Beach

"Our wedding was simple and laid back. The enjoyment of our guests was our number one priority (besides getting married!) and everyone had a great time! April is a lovely time in New Smyrna, but the weather can be a little unpredictable, so plan accordingly (we insisted on an indoor event). It's also a good time to be traveling to Central Florida in general. The only thing going on is the public schools go on Spring Break."

"Father Nelson was a dream to work with and walked us through all of the pre-wedding requirements. The church administration itself was a little rigid on certain issues. We asked about restrictions from the start, but when we would come back with an idea, the answer would be know. It felt like we were constantly being told 'didn't you know you can't do that?'"

"Kathy was great and always available to answer our questions. The venue was the perfect size for our party of about 80. The best part was the varying table sizes. It was much easier to seat parties of differents sizes. The room was bright and lovely and I would definitely recommend it!"

Hotel:

La Quinta Inn-International Speedway

"Very easy to work with. We blocked off rooms at a discount rate for our guests. We were not held responsible for the rooms as long as they were booked by two weeks before the wedding. There weren't any troubles for the guests reserving rooms. The only guest that had to cancel was because American Airlines canceled her flight and she couldn't get into town in time for the wedding. But as far as we know, there wasn't a problem with the hotel."
