Greenmead turned out to be a great place for our small wedding (I think the reception site is good for about 100-150ish people and you could maybe squeeze a few more in the church). We had our ceremony in the Newburgh Church and the reception in the Blue House, which was catered by Zingerman's from Ann Arbor. I don't know if Greenmead specifically recommends any caterers, but we had already chosen ours (even before booking a site, hehe) and they were fine with that. If I remember correctly, the church rental was around $500 and the reception was about $1200 (although they do charge extra if you aren't a Livonia resident, for the little dance floor they have, and there is an additional fee you get stuck paying based on a percentage of the catering costs...I think 10%). Note that because it is city property, you need to stop by the police station to get a special form if you want to serve alcohol. The church is adorable, it still has the original pews and organ. The inside of the Blue House is fixed up very nicely with fairly neutral colors and you have the option of either opening up all the windows and french doors or leaving it closed up with the heat/AC on. The staff at Greenmead were very helpful and easy to work with. I would also recommend the other vendors we used - Zingerman's for catering and cake, Tom Thompson florist (also in A2), and Marci Curtis photography. Just call the number on the Livonia website to get in touch with the administrators; they are very nice and will arrange a tour for you and answer any questions.
