JEAN AND MATTHEW'S WEDDING
July, 2010 in New Orleans"Our wedding was a great event to get all of our little circles of friends to come together in a really cool city (New Orleans). The city really allowed our guests to entertain themselves (with the food, the sightseeing, the music, etc.) so that you were never worried that the out of town guests were bored. Wedding mapper helped a lot in that department because I listed a bunch of places to visit that were within walking distance to the hotel. It was definitely HOT so I wouldn't expect to have a super formal wedding because everyone would be sweating through their tuxes and long dresses. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend it to anyone."

"Awesome cake. Definitely the best tasting cake that I tried out of all the bakeries I went to. However, they don't do tastings on the weekends and they were 3 hrs late delivering the cake so that our florist had to rush to apply our flowers. However, the price is reasonable and the cake looked/tasted wonderful."

"We invited about 100 guests and could fit both our ceremony and reception in the Chinoiserie. The rooms are very elegant with a bluish gray color palate and intricate (but not loud or overwhelming)oriental-style carpets."

"After the rehearsal dinner, we invited everyone that had gotten in to town a little early to meet in the Blue Room to grab some drinks. It was the first time some of my friends had been to New Orleans and it was a wonderful first impression. The bar had a sense of history to it but was also beautifully appointed and incredibly sleek. The bar staff were all young, lively, and professional. Unfortunately, not many of my guests decided to stay here because it was a little further away from where we held the wedding."
