It went really well. Todd, the event manager with the library was great. However, he really was not that involved because we had hired a wedding planner. Our wedding planner had planned 2 other weddings at the library, so she knew the ropes.

With that said, the library staff and the venue itself were wonderful. To be honest, most of our guests were really blown away about the ambiance at night from the balcony. Its a really neat space.

We had tents outside and lounge area with lounge ottomans and tables and had no trouble getting them in and out. The staff that did security and was there to lock up was great (they actually let us stay about 30 minutes longer than contract agreement for free). In addition, the library was great about allowing us to come in early the day of and the day after for next-day tent pick up.

One great bonus, is that you can bring your own alcohol in if you are planning to have it. We saved so much money this was, as we didn't have to pay per head and Gomer's will take back any unopened items for a complete refund. Therefore, we bought plenty, and returned what we didn't need.

Catering went well too, as there is a small kitchen area and ample space behind the scenes for the catering staff. The only negative for us was that we had a big event (260) and had to split the guests up (about 160 inside and the remainder outside). However, we had the dance floor outside, under a tent and one bar in that was stickly beer and wine and the other out for cocktail, so it kept people moving and mingling.
