Hello Ljeigh,

congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Fr. Dion definitely allowed both picture and video taking during the entire ceremony of our wedding at the Holy Rosary Cathedral (but of course still recognizing the etiquettes and boundaries of how "close up" the photogs and videogs get).. Fr. Dion didn't want them to be so obstructive and interruptive during the ceremony so as to distract the guest from the actual wedding (understandable and reasonable request).

Oh no worries about the late reply and thank you soo much for the info. My fiance will be soo happy to here that... umm if you don't mind me asking for one more question, did you have any troubles regarding parking around the church? Thanks again :D

Hello Ljeigh,

there were no parking problems at all (that i noticed or heard about). there's quite a bit of meter parking in the perimeter of the church (upto many blocks away), and also, on Richard's street, beside/across the church there is a parkade (i think it works out to $4 per hour). (good idea to let your guests know about these ahead of time too :))

-if you're planning to get married at the HRC, i would recommend that you also speak with the parish secretary (contacts at www.rcav.org) about the steps on how to book the place. (one main thing is that there's a marriage prep course that they offer, which btw has been super useful for garry and me to date, that you must attend).

Hello Rita,
Garry and I were married at HRC mainly because our parish (St. Mary's) was not able to accomodate us for the wedding date we chose. Normally, people get married in their "catchment" parish area, and Fr. Dion was kind enough to accomodate us in his parish (HRC) given our circumstance.
