"Our wedding was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. I spent the early part of the day getting my serenity on at the Eden Day Spa in Corolla (which was pretty affordable with their bridal package, and well worth it). Whalehead beach was ideal for the wedding. Perfect weather (in mid-May), and so incredibly beautiful. We chose 5pm, so we wouldn't have to battle deep shadows (for the photographer), and they turned out very well. Martin Torre (Torre Photography) was such a great photographer; Personable, experienced, and just so much fun (he even gave the bridal party cigars for photos and celebrating after!). He felt like part of the family (and only $900!). Christine from the Outer Banks Cake company was such a blessing, as well. She was the only one that fit into our price range (we only had $300 for a cake), and it was perfect. 3 tiers of gourmet cake w/ filling (one was a dummy layer), plus we ended up with a sheet cake of tastings (they were so big, we were eating different flavors of amazing wedding cake for a week, BEFORE the wedding just to decide). Although the house that we rented (to stay in for the week, and for the reception) was beautiful, the rental company (Kerichelle Realty) was not very customer friendly. They were not incredibly helpful when we ran into problems during the week (luckily they weren't big ones), and they were rude every time we had to go into the office (management included). I loved the house, but would try to avoid renting from them again, if possible."

I just have a couple of questions.. we are getting married in May 2010 and have been trying to find a home to have both the wedding and reception at but am kind of confused by the special event homes and regular rental, did you guys run into any problems with having you reception at the house without it being an event home? Did you guys look at other real estate companies. Thank you for your time. Eve
