"I loved going here as a kid and I still do. Try the Giant Dipper, a wooden rollercoaster that opened in 1924. It's been in movies such as "The Lost Boys" and "Dangerous Minds." Enjoy the beautiful view of the Pacific, free concerts on the beach, the sea lions at the end of the pier, the countless surfers, the beach volleyball games and fun surf stores. Take a walk north along the shore from the boardwalk to the lighthouse, where you can have a better view of the surfers. There might be a surfing competition happening on your visit. Located in the lighthouse is a visitor center and to the right of the lighthouse is a small beach where I used to take my dogs every summer."
