My fiance and I are considering having our casual outdoor wedding at Winter Island next summer (ceremony and reception). I was curious to hear about your experience getting married there, since it is a bit of a non-traditional spot. I am particularly curious how you found it for a summer wedding--was it really crowded with beach-goers, did the industrial plant next door smell at all, did it feel personal? Did you use the hall or the pavilion (we like the pavilion best)? How were the people there to work with? What did you do for food/drinks--any recommendations about how that worked for you? How did you manage decorations? So sorry for so many questions--I've never done anything like this before and am feeling pretty lost, but it is a nice park and we really liked it as a possibility.
