"The Memorial is a beautiful spot, and only requires a $50 park permit to rent. Make sure you bring the permit with you on the big day, we actually got checked out by a park policewoman and she said it was lucky we had the permit with us."

Old Post Office Pavilion

"If you want an aerial view of the city, but don't have time to wait in line at the Washington Monument, the Old Post Office has a tower that you can visit. This building looks like Cinderella's castle from the outside, and houses a decent food court and some governement agencies on the inside. Its a good place to stop if you're walking around to take a break, and enjoy the view from the Tower."
