June, 2010 in St. Augustine

"Our wedding was wonderful!! Getting married in St. Augustine was every thing I had hoped it would be; charming, beautiful and completely enjoyable. Depending on the time of year it can be expensive due to the area being a popular vacation/tourist location. For me, a native Floridain, the weather was not an issue. However, if you are having a destination wedding here, be aware that during the summer it typically rains every afternoon."

Ceremony: The White Room
Reception: The White Room

Bayfront Inn:

The Bayfront Inn

"The Bayfront Inn was very conveinent for our guests. It's location was within a 5 minute walk of the White Room. Many of our guests also took advantage of being directly across the street from the city marina where they could take boat tours. The inn had a small but sufficent parking lot which is a wonderful plus when staying in downtown St. Augustine. The prices were a little high with a single double bed room at $89/night all the way up to $200+/night for a two bedroom suite. The staff was very helpful and polite."

Ceremony and Reception:

The White Room

1 King St
St Augustine, FL

"When I first saw a picture of the White Room on a photographer's website I knew I had to see it in person. Once I saw the dark hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, floor to ceiling mirrors, and the wall of windows overlooking the Matanzas Bay I was sold. This place is absolutely goregous!! The space can accommadate any style or theme. There are three options available; the main ballroom, the loft space for a more intimate feel or the rooftop. Each space is beautiful. The food was amazing! You can choose from a variety of options from a formal sit down dinner to a buffett style brunch. The choice is yours. Shannon and the rest of the staff were great!! Any question I had she answered and when the wedding day came, I knew that I didn't have to worry about a thing."
