Band:
Double Funk Crunch
Menlo Park, CA, USA"Ridiculous! The band was amazing, had a great set list, played unbelievable jazz during dinner, and added a huge amount of energy and celebration to our night."
Cakes/Candies Vendor:
Satura Cakes
55 Merchant St. Suite 110Honolulu, HI 96813, USA
808-537-1206 x 112
"We had a whole dessert bar provided by our venue, but we had a small cake from Satura and it was a huge hit. Not a fondant cake (although they make those too). Our main criteria wer that the cake taste good and fresh and amazing and it was spot on."
Coordinator:
Affrunti Events
Menlo Park, CA, USA"Gina was great. She had previously worked at our wedding venue, so she knew all of the ins and outs as well as the people there. She took care off all of the vendor coordination and day-of coordination which was huge and well worth the fee. It allowed me and my family and wedding party to really just enjoy ourselves. We were confident that Gina was talking care of everything that needed to be taken care of and she did. Couldn’t have asked for anything more as definitely worth the money. She also acted as a resource throughout our planning in terms of protocol, suggested vendors, etc. Both me and my mother called and e-mailed her frequently to get her feedback and she always provided a prompt response."
Invitations Vendor:
Letter Perfect
384 University AvePalo Alto, CA, United States
"Gwen at Letter Perfect is the best. She has a huge selection and has tons of great tips and experience regarding protocol (what is important and not), style, and wording. She was a huge resource for all of our paper needs. Our invitations were ordered through her from Oblation. We loved that they were 100% recycled content, produced using renewable energy, and a generally environmentally conscious company (out of Portland). They were prompt and exactly what we expected."
Limo Company:
Lone Star Transportation
221 Norwich Ave675 El Camino Real
Milpitas and Palo Alto, CA 95035, United States

"Jen at Lone Star Transportation was professional and easy to work with. Our driver made everything very easy, relaxed, and actually contributed to lowering my anxiety regarding being on time and such. He had obviously done this many times before and was excellent. Perfect."
Officiant:
Rabbi Yeshaia Charles Familant
Menlo Park, CA, USA"Wow! We had an interfaith wedding and it was very important to us to find an officiant that we both felt comfortable with and could relate to. Rabbi Familant was the perfect person for the job. We met with him several times over the year before the wedding and he represented us and what we were hoping for perfectly at the wedding. Both sides of the family enjoyed and felt comfortable at the ceremony. Could not have been better."
Photographer:
Jillian Kay Photography
28 N 1st StSan Jose, CA, United States
"I had found out about Jillian through a coworker of mine who had also used her. Jillian is a great listener, will do whatever kinds of photos you like, but she also has a great style of her own and takes great candids which end up being your favorite pictures of the night. She includes a free engagement photo shoot, more to get to know you and how you are in front of the camera, but you get some great pictures out of it too. We used many of the engagement photos for our custom invitation stamps and such. Fabulous to work with. She's always running around getting all of the shots, yet you don't even realize that she is there. Fabulous!"
Wedding Day Beauty Vendor:
AvantGard Spa
1151 Greenwood AveSan Carlos, CA, United States
"We had Jessica come to us for the bridal party makeup and she was great. She came to the hotel and did the bridge, 2 mothers, and 4 bridesmaids. None of our group were huge makeup wearers, so she really listened and made sure everyone was happy and comfortable with how they look. I used the airbrush foundation and it looks great the entire night. The mothers particularly looked amazing and kept getting compliments all night on how young and beautiful they looked. She was great at getting all of us in in a limited amount of time."
Wedding Fashion Vendor:
Jing Wang Bridal
111 Maiden Ln # 300San Francisco, CA, United States
"Located in San Francisco, Jin Wang designs beautiful dresses that are make in San Francisco too. I liked the local element of the shop and got to work with Jin herself during the fittings. Sandy helped me in picking out the dress and could not have been nicer and easier to work with. The dress turned out beautiful, although I had an issue with the bustle pulling out (due to people stepping on it) and wrinkling due to the fabric that i had chosen, but I felt great in it, the pictures look great. Couldn't have been happier. Prices are higher than I would have ideally liked to pay, but I was satisfied with the end result as well as with the overall experience. Good value for a locally designed and made, semi-custom dress."
Reception:
Sharon Heights Golf & Country Club Inc.
2900 Sand Hill RdMenlo Park, CA, United States
"Beautiful spot for both the ceremony and reception. We used the outside balcony for the cocktail hour which was great to have an outdoor element to the day. The rooms were all beautiful, the staff was fabulous, the food was ridiculous! Ridiculous! The chef was very responsive to our preferences, but we also liked that he really focused on what was local and fresh. The have an organic garden onsite, use mostly local and organic sources for their ingredients, and everything comes out hot and perfect. Pretty much impossible to top and all of our guests agreed. We also had a dessert room which the dessert chef completely blew us out of the water with. There were homemade ice creams, homemade marshmallows, amazing fresh fruit, and on and on. The only downside was that both the ceremony room and the reception rooms got too hot. They tried to cool them down, but with doors opening and closing to the outside and such, it just never really got cool in there. Overall, the look of the place was exactly what we had hoped for, the food was over the top excellent, and the service was great. Really whatever you want, they will do for you, get for you, or let you do. The only issue that I had was with the contracting and having to commit (without really knowing that we were committing to it) to a number of guests several months in advance. In general, I would recommend low-balling your guest count if asked to commit to a number way ahead of time because you can always increase it (but you can’t decrease it)."
Hotel:
Rosewood Sand Hill
2825 Sand Hill RdMenlo Park, CA 94025
"Redonculous! We had about 20 rooms of our wedding guests staying here and it was over the top. The bar is beautiful, although I was told by some of our guests that the restaurant was very overprices (e.g., $150 for breakfast for 4 people). Despite the price of the restaurant, they gave us a great group rate for the rooms too which made it affordable for our guests. The rooms are gorgeous and the pool... I mean I felt like I was already on my honeymoon. You feel like you could be in Hawaii sitting there by the pool. As the bride and groom, they kept upgrading us to better and better rooms leading up to the wedding and we ended up staying in the Presidential Villa which is nicer than any home or hotel I've ever seen in my life. When we got back to the room after the wedding, they had meticulously placed rose petals on the bed, shaped in a heart and other designs which was so nice. We used this space for all of the bridesmaids to get ready in the morning of the wedding and had an amazing catered lunch provided by the hotel. They also brought us complimentary chocolate dipped strawberries and champaign which was a very nice touch. This hotel seriously contributed to making the weekend that much more special, which I did not expect. It played a huge role in our and our guests’ enjoyment of the weekend because we all really felt like we were on vacation in a special place. The hotel was also conveniently located across the street for our wedding venue, so that was perfect."

"We worked with Kimberly on the booking and Christine on the logistics and menu. It was the perfect place for a rehearsal dinner. We had a smaller group of family and wedding party there at the beginning and then invited all of our out of towners there for dessert and drinks afterward. The space out on the patio was perfect for an intimate dinner and then expanded really well for mingling during the dessert time. We even had a mariachi band come and play which was awesome. We did a whole Mexican theme with the dinner, desserts, and drinks and it was a classy yet fun night. Exactly what we had hoped for and so easy to organize with Christine and the chef's help. I'm sure it's a fabulous spot for a wedding too."
