Hi Samantha: Congratulations on your engagement. We had a great time during our wedding in Boca Chica. I am from Santo Domingo and my husband is from Minnesota but we are both Catholic so it was a matter of compiling the documents. We had to get baptism, confirmation for both of us, certificate of premarital education and copy of passport info page for both of us and both sets of parents. In the Dominican Republic catholic ceremonies have legal power so it's just a matter of waiting for the official certificate from there. The pries there is very sweet, his name is Roberto Solano and I should have his e-mail address somewhere I can find you. Neptuno's was really nice and the food is awesome although we had a couple of minor situations, for example we got rained.
The church or restaurant do not cover anything, we hired a wedding planner who did a wonderful job. If you give me a direct address I can send you some more details and concrete prices we paid.

Thanks for taking the time to respond to my questions. I've decided that I'm probably going to do a civil ceremony in the Dominican and then a church wedding in Canada later on. We want to get married in January so we don't have much time to plan everything.
Was Neptuno's on the beach or is there a covered area to do a reception? I've never been to that restaurant before. I wonder if there would be room to do a ceremony there?? Did you have someone do your hair and make up? If you could send me details and prices about everything I'd really appreciate it.
