"We had our wedding at reception at the Ballroom at the Ben and everything was wonderful. We worked with Nicole and Ott and they were both great and a pleasure to work with. The ballroom is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the staff is beyond helpful!!!"

"AWFUL!!!! My husband and I were robbed before our eyes on the night out of our reception at the Loews Hotel Philadelphia. We got back to our suite after the reception and immediately order a bottle of champagne for the two of us. While we were waiting for the champagne to arrive, we got settled into our room. I had taken off my ear rings and rings and the remaining part of the wait period was used to undo the millions of buttons on the back of my wedding gown!! The room service man arrived within about 10-15 minutes and we sat on the sofa while we watched him place the champagne bucket down right next to my jewelry. My wedding rings were more bulky than the ear rings so I was able to see them and not the diamond ear rings. I didnt want to jump to any conclusions, so I just kept my eye on him. He popped the cork and poured us two glasses. I watched him make a scooping motion with this hands to pick up the foil and remains of the champagne and he then kept his hands closed in a tight fist. I was still watching his every move at this point. My husband signed the bill and tipped the man and the second he turned his back to us I jumped up to make sure everything was still there and sure enough the ear rings were gone. In seconds, the man disappeared. He must have ran especially since our suite was right next to the elevators. We went down to the lobby where we had the worst experience ever with a group of people who claim to be professionals. They refused to search the man and they would not even detain him. They allowed him to keep making his rounds for an hour while they accused me and husband of making the story up!! Mind you, my husband is a Naval Officer and was still in uniform at this point! Regardless of his honorable profession, I don't understand why they would think that a bride and a groom would make up such an elaborate story! Anyhow, the entire staff at the Loews were a complete nightmare. They would even call the police for us. They told us to "sleep it off" and that they would deal with it the following day. Sure enough, we took matters into our own hands and ended up at the police station till 6am on our wedding night! The story goes on and our nightmare still continues with them, however the management at the Loews are disgraceful. The entire situation could and should have been dealt in a much different manner. They never once said "I am sorry". There was zero customer service or relations. They were rude and abrasive, I still can't believe it! Anyhow, there are plenty of wonderful hotels in Philadelphia and I would never in a million years recommend the Loews Hotel. We also found 3 obvious cigarette burn holes in our bedding, in our suite...in a 4 star hotel. Unacceptable."
