ERIKA AND TITO'S WEDDING
November, 2009 in Fort Bragg
"Our wedding was beautiful! All of the hard work on details came together and it was truly our version of a fairytale.
Although my husband and I reside in the triad area, our families live in the Fayetteville/Ft. Bragg area. We thought it would be more convenient and affordable to have our wedding on post.
We had the wedding the last week of November. Of course it was not warm, but the Christmas decorations at both the church and the reception was a good swap for the weather.
Wedding Mapper was helpful in reviewing local bakers who work from home, which was my goal when choosing my cake."

"Marci was a pleasure to work with! I priced cakes from bakeries in the area and her cakes were above and beyond for the price when comparing presentation, delivery options, price per slice, attention to detail, and most importantly TASTE! She is a family oriented army wife, who treats you as her own. I would recommend her for anyone who is looking for a beautiful and tasty cake in the Fayetteville/Hope Mills area."
Caterer:
McKellar's Lodge
Armistead St & Totten StFort Bragg, NC 28307
"McKellar's lodge was an excellent choice to hold a reception. The lodge can be rented on Saturday or Sunday (but no weddings are conducted on Ft. Bragg on Sunday). You have the venue for 4 hours, which is the average time you will get at any reception site. If you choose to use their caterer - buffet style- and order more than $700 worth of food, you do not have to pay the $700 fee to rent the room. The chairs also give it a rustic feel."

"The flowers were beautiful but pricey. There was miscommunication as to how many bows were supposed to be at the church. The business did not want to refund me for the mix-up and charged me anyway, offering me a credit. My bouquet and centerpiece at my bridal party's table was beautiful. I was not that impressed by the cake-topper. It was a bit plain, but it served its purpose."

"We were married at Main Post Chapel. The church speaks for itself. We were married right before Christmas, so the church was decorated for Christmas, and it was simply beautiful. We were alloted 1 hour for our rehearal the day before the wedding. We were alloted 2 hours for the ceremony and picture taking. We did not have a wedding planner, only detail-oriented grandmother :), and you have to make things flow like clock-work in order to have enough time to actually "get married" and then take all of the photo combos you would like to have. The church was really pretty, although I was disappointed with the red tape my we had to go through to actually get the church for that day, for our time slot. It really was a stressful big hassle."
