Overall, it was a great experience and I wouldn't have changed a thing. I didn't have to worry about a thing the day of the wedding. I had my favors, place cards and centerpieces dropped off the morning of, and it was all set up by the time of the reception. We were able to go off menu and completely customize the food, which turned out amazing! I'm very picky when it comes to food, but the chief was very eager to please. We paid around $55 a person, which included, hors d' oeuvres, 3 entree buffet, non-alcoholic drinks, and ice cream sundaes. They even sent down a plate of hors d' oeuvres while we were taking pictures at the falls. We had so many people tell us it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The biggest thing to be aware of is that they are only allowed to host weddings after labor day. Little tip, free fireworks are set off on Fri. and Sun. evenings. You can go to their website and email their event coordinator, but it might take a little while to get a response, so be patience. I also was planing from out of town. Thank you sooooo much for your response. Very helpful! There are not too many wedding receptions' reviews online and the dining reviews are so so (not to say - bad). Therefore, I wasn't sure if the restaurant would be a good place for the reception or not. Though, it's beautifully located! We are planning our wedding before the Memorial Day weekend, so before the season starts. I wonder if this would treated the same way as after the Labor Day. Quick question - were you able to a toast with champain still in the park, right after the ceremony? And - did you have any chairs ir tent outside the restaurant? We didn't have the ceremony at the falls, although I know it is allowed. Being Catholic, we had to have it in a church. There would be room for an outside setup, however they close the restaurant for a wedding, and it has 2 outside terraces which are covered and can be closed off further, like a tent, if it rains. I would imagine that you could have the ceremony on one of these so you don't have to go through the added hassle and expense if it rains. As for before Memorial Day, I have no idea. My gut feeling is they wouldn't allow it, but it wouldn't hurt to ask them. If it doesn't work out, I would suggest checking out Glenn Iris Inn at Letchworth State Park if your heart is set on getting married near a waterfall.
