ERICA AND JOHN'S WEDDING

October, 2009 in Green Bay

"After all the hard work organizing our wedding, the day itself went smoothly. October in Wisconsin is always a weather gamble and we had some rain, but it didn't ruin the day at all. I only wish we could have gotten some outside photos. Getting married on a Friday was a great choice since many costs were cheaper. If you want to get married in Green Bay on a Saturday, don't do it during football season! The hotels are way more expensive and require a 2-night minimum if it happens to be a home Packer game. And you'll have to choose your date long before the Packer schedule comes out."

Cakes/Candies Vendor:

Bernie's Cakes

2548 Freedom Rd
Hobart, WI, United States

"Bernie's cakes are the best in the area! You get lots of flavor combinations for a reasonable price. Our cake looked beautiful and tasted wonderful. Bernie and her son Ron did a great job working with my flower vendor as well."

Favors Vendor:

Seroogy's Chocolates - Favors Vendor - 144 North Wisconsin Street, De Pere, WI, United States

Seroogy's Chocolates

144 North Wisconsin Street
De Pere, WI, United States

"We went with simple and tasteful favors from Seroogy's. Two boxed meltaways were classic, delicious, and reasonably priced at $1.25 a box. You can personalize the boxes for a little extra, but they don't really need it. In our area, the little Seroogy's logo is enough to cause excitement!"

Florist:

Bouchard's Floral & Gifts

908 Hansen Road
Green Bay, WI, United States

"The girls at Bouchard's are wonderful to work with! I came in with a color scheme but no real idea of what I wanted for flowers. Tamara and Tina helped me decide on flowers and invitations, and everything was absolutely beautiful."

Limo Company:

Escort Limousine Service

711 Hinkle Street
Green Bay, WI, United States

"ELS was the only limo service in the area that could fit 10 of us comfortably in a regular limo (a 10-person limo really only fits 8 comfortably). Others would have put us in a mini bus. The driver was professional and friendly. The owner stayed open late to let me come in and make my reservation - a good thing, because I went into labor later that night!"

Tux Rental:

MW Tux

227 Bay Park Sq
Green Bay, WI, United States

"Great tuxes and good service, from the manager, at least. There was one employee who wasn't always the most professional when interacting with our groomsmen. The ring bearer's tux was just as expensive as the rest, which I didn't think was right. But the manager worked with me via email to get all the groomsmen fitted, even one who was overseas."

Wedding Day Beauty Vendor:

Options Hair Team

914 Hansen Road
Green Bay, WI, United States

"My regular stylist, Deena, did a great job on my hair and all the bridesmaids' as well. She also did my makeup and it was tasteful and beautiful."

Ceremony:

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

2771 Oakwood Dr
Green Bay, WI 54304

"Both the church and our officiant, Deacon Steve Meyer, were wonderful. As a non-Catholic, I felt that our "inter-religious" marriage was respected at all times. Steve and the church were also always willing to work with our special circumstances and schedules. Steve's homily was very personal and touching. Everyone said it was the most beautiful ceremony!"

Reception:

Black Forest

1966 Velp Ave
Green Bay, WI 54303

"The Black Forest was the perfect location for our ceremony. The only reason they lost a star from me was because they misplaced half the parts to the cake that needed to be returned to the baker, so I did not get my deposit back. But the room is beautiful - it needs no extra decoration - and the food was delicious. The staff was very accommodating, and the banquet manager, Paula, worked to make sure we had everything we wanted but did not order more than we needed."

Hotel:

AmericInn Lodge & Suites of Green Bay West

2032 Velp Ave
Green Bay, WI, United States

"We chose the AmericInn for location more than any other reason. The rooms aren't the nicest but they were clean and affordable. My cousin left an item behind and has had difficulty getting information about it or getting it back. But the breakfast was good; you could make your own waffles among other choices."

Comfort Suites Hotel & Conference Center

1951 Bond St.
Green Bay, WI, United States
