DANIELLE AND GREGORY'S WEDDING

April, 2008 in Phoenix

"Our wedding in Phoenix, AZ was great. It was sort of west coast meets east coast. We currently live in NC and had to plan the entire wedding from Charlotte. It was a struggle, but the end result was great. We had a few snafus but what wedding doesn't. First, our original photographer went MIA six weeks before the wedding. Then over half the people at the rehearsal (including me) came down with food poisoning. But, it was still fabulous. Our guests said it was truly unforgettable (in a good way) and if I ever had to do it again, I would make little changes."

"Karen was wonderful. She understood what I wanted and when the flowers arrived on the wedding day, she informed me well in advance that some of the flowers had not opened and gave me wonderful suggestions for alternatives with no extra cost. She also provided me with a free throw bouquet. Again, no problems with this vendor and I have suggested that all of my girlfriends go to her."

It was our perfect was of showing up with our wedding party (total of 16 including bride and groom)."

"Kate and Scott were wonderful. Our original photographer went MIA with 6 weeks to go before the wedding (he took our deposit and ran). Kate and Scott were completely understanding of our fear of it happening again so they met with us the day before the wedding, we were coming in from NC, and just went over what we were looking for. They got the pictures that were most important and were creative with our formal pictures. Everyone commented at how great they were during the picture taking session."

Photographer:

Tim Hoak

"I reserved this photographer over a year in advance and six weeks before the wedding he no longer returns emails, phone calls, or my money. I reported him to the BBB and hope that no one in their right mind ever goes with Tim Hoak again."

Rehearsal Dinner Venue:

Oaxaca's Mexican Grill

Phoenix, AZ, USA

"My family has been going to this establishment for over 20 years. We felt that this restaurant was perfect for kicking off the wedding festivities. Unfortunately, they were absolutely difficult to work with. They refused to sign a contract guaranteeing anything. They attempted to overcharge us. Then, during the dinner they squeezed 75 of us into the room with no air conditioner and every time we opened the door to let air flow, they shut it. After all of that the following day (my wedding day) I came down with food poisoning (norwalk virus). I wasn't the only one affected by this, half the people from the rehearsal dinner came down with it. Needless to say, that was the last time my family will ever step foot in that restaurant."
