"After nearly a year of planning, we were so excited to have Beltane as our wedding location. As we were finalizing our location, the property manager put the pressure on for us to make a decision-telling us that another couple had put an offer on the last available date of the wedding season. We pulled the trigger and put a $5000 deposit down on the site. The contract stated that if we had to cancel the deposit would be refunded if the site could be resold. Shortly after, the economy crashed and my fiancée was laid off. Although it broke our hearts, we decided to put the wedding on hold. We gave Beltane 11 months notice, with the expectation that such an in demand location would not have a problem reselling the last available spot of their wedding season. We never received a refund, and in fact, the manger and owner wouldn't take my calls after we canceled to discuss alternative options. I continue to be disappointed with Beltane's unresponsiveness."
