"Cedar Beach Inn is a lovely place to have a wedding. It truly couldn't be prettier! But, they only get 3 stars because of one of the people we had to deal with. The mother of this family owned establishment is a nightmare to deal with. It was difficult to get in touch with anyone to begin with. I sent numerous emails indicating interest in possibly using them as our ceremony/reception site before they finally got back to us. Then once we'd booked it it was again difficult to get questions answered. It felt like no one had the time to deal with us. And I don't think I was a very demanding bride. Anyone a little more type A than I might've gotten very upset with them. At our planning meeting we once again had the mother to guide us through everything, except she didn't even have many of the answers we needed. We were made to feel badly that our wedding would have so many children present as it is just so difficult for them to handle getting out the kids meals. When asked which chair we'd like we were told that even though the plastic chairs looked rickety, they had held some REALLY large people, which I found offensive. They also don't let you come in the night before to decorate unless you pay to have your rehearsal dinner with them as well. They had made a deal with us that, if we paid in full 2 weeks in advance, they would let us in the day before for 2 hours to decorate (since they don't let you in until 10 the day of the wedding). When we showed up some things were not in place for us to be able to decorate such as the cake table and gift table. When we asked if they could be finished with linens, it was clear that they were annoyed to have to do the work. All of that being said, their food is good, the space is beautiful, and I wouldn't have picked any other place. Just be ready for some B.S."
