Hi Rebecca,
Congratulations first off! We actually did not get married at the Bloomsburg Town Park as planned. We were going to but then a couple months before the wedding we started worrying about weather, which I'm glad we did because it rained on June 20th 2009. It is very beautiful down by the river and by the bandshell where we were thinking of having it, but we just had our pictures taken there instead. The other problem with the park is there is no seating so you would have to provide seating or make people stand and if you needed cover you would need a tent. Also, we didn't get too far with it so we're not 100% sure but you might need a permit or at least permission from the town to have a wedding there. It is very pretty down there but we just figured it wasn't worth the hassle if we were going to be rained on.

We actually got married and had our reception at the Bloomsburg University Kehr Union Ballroom and it was gorgeous! It holds plenty of people and they can change the setting from a traditional ceremony with chairs to a cocktail hour in another room and then open up the entire ballroom for the reception. Their prices were very reasonable and the food was out of this world delicious. They work with you and you do not have a to worry about a thing. You can have alcohol, but only if you use their catering which was fine with us, but if you don't want alcohol you can use whatever caterer you want. They also have a shuttle that can pick your guests up at any hotel so they don't have to drive to the University. We also used it to drive around and take our pictures and it was so much cheaper than hiring a limo company and just as nice! Hope This helps you and good luck!
