LISA AND DIRON'S WEDDING
October, 2009 in St. Mary's County, Maryland"Even though it rained on the wedding day, the Woodlawn was the perfect setting for an indoor wedding on the water. With the large bay windows in the common room as the backdrop for the indoor ceremony and the fine Victorian feel of the estate house, our day was perfect. I can only imagine how beautiful it would have been if it didn't rain... but we intend to enjoy the Woodlawn over and over on our anniversaries, so hopefully the next stay there will be nicer weather. Kathy at Scarborough Farms did a wonderful job with the flowers. We wanted locally grown flowers for the ceremony, and her garden is second to none. The rehearsal dinner at Corbel's was the highlight of being in St. Mary's County... Leo is totally accommodating and the Sterling Room was a perfect place for a large dinner; with its large fireplaces and private dinning experience. Although we weren't able to take pictures at Piney Point lighthouse, the whole experience was priceless, and I would recommend The Woodlawn Estate, Scarborough Farms and Corbel's to anyone that asked!"
